STORES SHOP TO WIN SWEEPSTAKES 1. ELIGIBILITY: No Purchase Necessary. The eBay Stores Shop To Win Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older, who are confirmed registered members of www.ebay.com, (the “eBay Site”) at time of entry (“Eligible Participant”). Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited. Employees, directors and officers, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), and their respective household members, of eBay Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent company (if any), affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising and promotion agencies, and Strobe Promotions, Inc., are not eligible to enter. The Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state and local laws. U.S. law governs this Sweepstakes. 2. PROMOTION DESCRIPTION: The Promotion begins at 12:00:01 AM Pacific Time (PT) on January 22, 2008 and ends 11:59:59 PM PT on January 31, 2008 (the “Promotion Period”). There will be Daily prizes awarded in random drawings from among all entries received for each day (the “Daily Drawing(s)”) of the Promotion Period, and one (1) Grand Prize awarded in a random drawing from among all entries received at the end of the Promotion Period. 3. HOW TO ENTER: There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes during the Promotion Period: 1) Register for the Sweepstakes by completing the registration form at www.ebay.com/shoptowin during the Promotion Period. Thereafter, you will receive one entry into the Sweepstakes each day you make a purchase of any item listed on the eBay site valued at $20 or more (excluding shipping and taxes) from a seller with an eBay Store during the Promotion Period. Multiple purchases made on the same day will only result in one (1) entry. 2) ALTERNATE ENTRY: To enter the Sweepstakes without purchasing an item from a seller with an eBay Store, CLICK HERE and provide your name, address, city, state, zip code, and eBay User ID. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER EBAY USER ID PER PERSON PER DAY, REGARDLESS OF METHOD OF ENTRY. Subsequent entries received from the same eBay User ID on the same day will be disqualified. Entries must be received by dates and times stated in the Daily Drawing Entry Chart below in order to be eligible for each Daily Drawing. Non-winning daily entries will not be eligible for subsequent daily drawings. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM PT on January 31, 2008 in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing. Incomplete entries or entries not complying with these Official rules are subject to disqualification. Entries that have been generated by a script, macro, bot or any other automated means will be deemed void. In the event of a dispute about the identity of the entrant, online entries will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the eBay User ID submitted at time of entry. For these purposes, an authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an eBay User ID by eBay, Inc. A potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the eBay User ID associated with the winning entry. Use of the eBay Site and Sponsor’s use of information submitted by entrant in connection with this Sweepstakes will be subject to the terms and conditions stated in these Official Rules as well as to the eBay User Agreement and Privacy Policy available on the eBay site.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: Daily winners will be selected in random drawings on or about February 1, 2008 from among all eligible entries received based on the Daily Drawing Entry Chart above. Potential Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about February 1, 2008 from among all eligible entries received throughout the Promotion Period. All random drawings will be conducted by Strobe Promotions, Inc., the independent judging organization, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Prize Winners will be notified by electronic mail and/or phone on or about February 1, 2008. Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility/liability release and, where legal, publicity release and a federal and state tax release and return these documents, properly executed, within 5 days of issuance of notification. Non-compliance within this time frame or with requirements, or if prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, will result in the entrant being disqualified, and the prize will be awarded to a potential alternate winner. Odds of winning a Daily Drawing prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received per day as per the Daily Drawing Entry Chart above. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend upon the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. LIMIT ONE (1) DAILY PRIZE PER EBAY USER ID, PER PERSON THROUGHOUT THE PROMOTION PERIOD. 5. PRIZES: (1) Grand Prize: $5,000 Deposited into winner’s PayPal Account (the “PayPal Account”); Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $5,000. Daily Prize #1 (100) 10 winners per day: a $100 eBay Gift Certificate; ARV: $100 each. Daily Prize #2 (500) 50 winners per day: a $50 eBay Gift Certificate; ARV: $50 each. Daily Prize #3 (1000) 100 winners per day: a $10 eBay Gift Certificate; ARV: $10 each. Total ARV of all prizes: $55,000. eBay Gift Certificate prizes will be deposited into the winner’s PayPal account. Winners must have or must create a PayPal Account at www.PayPal.com (the “PayPal Site”) to access the cash prize or use the eBay Gift Certificate funds. The PayPal Account must have the same email address associated with the eBay User ID that was used to enter the Sweepstakes. Registration for PayPal is free. eBay Gift Certificate amount valid only when recipient pays with and the seller accepts PayPal. Gift Certificate funds are void for off-eBay purchases. eBay Gift Certificate may not be transferred. Use of eBay Gift Certificates subject to terms and conditions at http://giftcertificates.ebay.com/terms.html. All taxes and any other costs not specifically stated herein are the sole responsibility of winners. All prizes will be awarded. Prizes may not be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if advertised prize is unavailable at the time prize is awarded. Prizes will be awarded within 4-6 weeks of notification. 6. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements. Entrant will not be eligible for the Sweepstakes if his/her account on the eBay Site is not in good standing. In order for an account to be deemed in good standing as that term is used herein, entrant must not have a hold on his/her account and his/her account must not be suspended or past due as of January 22, 2008. By accepting a prize, winner consents to the use of his/her name, image, likeness, photograph, voice and biographical material for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes by Sponsor, or a party designated by the Sponsor, including but not limited to, any online announcements, or for sharing this information with the press for viewing, whether TV or print, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Entrants agree that the conditions of submission set forth in these Official Rules, and all documents and agreements incorporated in these Official Rules by reference, solely govern the relationship between entrants and Sponsor in connection with this Promotion. Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in these Official Rules. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend part or all of this Sweepstakes at any time without notice, if in the judges’ opinion there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or integrity and proper play of the Sweepstakes. In such event, Sponsor may void any entries they suspect are at issue and award prizes from among all eligible entries received up to the date of cancellation. If an entrant is disqualified, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate that entrant’s eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes. Any attempts by an individual to access any website associated with the Sweepstakes via a bot script or other brute force attack or any other unauthorized means will result in the IP address becoming ineligible. Use of automated entry devices or programs is prohibited. 8.
