How do I enter the eBay 2009 Motors Master Contest? To enter the Contest, Eligible Participants must go to http://www.motorsmaster.ebaymotors.com/ (the "Website") and do all of the following during the Entry Period: (1) Complete and submit the Contest entry form by providing the information required and select the Category for which the video is being submitted: 1) American Muscle Cars of the Past; (2) American Muscle Cars of Today/Import Tuner Cars; (3) Trucks - Off-Road and Sport; and (4) Motorcycles. Eligible Participants must acknowledge that they have read and agree to the Official Rules by checking the box that appears on the entry form. (2) Using links provided on the entry form, upload a video ("the Video") describing your favorite automotive project and why you would make the best eBay Motors "Motors Master"; AND (3) In the space provided on the entry form, describe in 50-1,500 characters, your vehicle, before and after imagery, the modifications you made to this vehicle, the destination from which you sourced the automotive parts, how you used eBay Motors for this project, why this project is your favorite and why you would make the best eBay Motors "Motors Master" (the "Description"). Eligible Participant's Video and Description must be in the English language, and the Video must be in .avi, .mov, .mpeg or .wmv electronic format and may not exceed 15MB in size. Videos must be of good quality and clearly depict the Contest Theme. All components of each entry must be submitted online in accordance with these Official Rules and received by 11:59:59 PM PT on September 10, 2009 in order to be eligible. Limit one entry per eBay user ID per day. See Official Rules for details. 2. Who may participate? eBay 2009 Motors Master Contest (the "Contest") is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, and Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec) who are: physically located and reside in the United States, District of Columbia, or Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec); 18 years of age or older for U.S. residents and of the age of majority in their province or territory of residence for Canadian residents; and confirmed, registered members of www.ebay.com or www.ebay.ca (collectively, the "eBay Site") at time of entry ("Eligible Participant"). Members of the U.S. Military who reside at APO/FPO addresses outside of the U.S. and who are registered members of www.ebay.com are also eligible to enter. Void in Puerto Rico, the province of Quebec and where prohibited. Employees, directors and officers, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), and their respective household members (whether related or not), of eBay Inc. ("eBay") and eBay Inc.'s affiliates, subsidiaries, and divisions ("eBay Entities") (eBay and eBay Entities collectively, "Sponsor"), Sponsor's advertising and promotion agencies and Strobe Promotions, Inc., are not eligible to enter. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, local, provincial, and municipal laws. This Contest shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. See Official Rules for details. 3. What is the Promotional Period? The Contest begins at 12:00:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) on August 1, 2009 and ends 11:59:59 PM PT on September 14, 2009 (the "Promotion Period"). 4. What are the five phases of the contest? Phase 1: Will run from 12:00:00 AM PT on August 1, 2009 through 11:59:59 PM PT on September 10, 2009 ("Entry Period"), Eligible Participants will have the opportunity to submit their Video and Video Description for consideration in one of four categories. Phase 2: Will run from 12:00:00 AM PT on August 1, 2009 through 11:59:59 PM PT on September 14, 2009 ("Voting Period"), a panel of judges will review and score all entry submissions. In addition, all qualified entries received during this Period will be posted on the eBay Motors Contest Gallery Page whereby the eBay community will be invited to rate the submissions per category. Phase 3: Will occur on September 15, 2009, a final score will be determined for each entry based on the judges' score, which will count for 80%, and the consumers' rating, which will count for 20%, of the final score. Up to a maximum of ten (10) top-scoring entries in each Category will be declared finalists (each such person a "Finalist") in their respective categories and will go on to Phase 4. Phase 4: Will occur from September 16, 2009 through September 22, 2009, a panel of celebrity judges will judge the Finalists and the Finalist with the top scoring entry in each category will be declared a Grand Prize winner, subject to verification. Phase 5: Will occur on or about September 23, 2009, Grand Prize winners will be notified and will have their projects featured on a winners' page on eBay Motors. 5. What criteria is the judging based on? (i) Originality of Modifications - 25% (ii) Clarity of Expression - 25% (iii) Passion for using eBay Motors - 25% (iv) Appropriateness to Contest Theme - 25% 6. How do I enter the Sweepstakes? When you rate a submission, you will be given one of two choices: 1) Login to eBay or 2) Complete a short registration form. Once you complete one of these two choices, you will receive confirmation that the rating has been received, and, if it is the first time you are rating a submission on that particular day, you will receive an entry in the Random Drawing. You can rate more than one (1) submission per day but you will only receive one (1) entry in the random drawing per day. You may only rate a submission once per day. All subsequent ratings of the same submission on the same day will be void. Contest entrants will also receive one entry in the Sweepstakes drawing each time they submit an eligible contest entry. Eligible Participants who do not enter the Contest but wish to enter the Sweepstakes drawing may do so by mail (See Rule 9 of Official Rules.) 7. When is the Weekly Sweepstakes Drawing? One (1) winner will be selected each week for six (6) weeks throughout the Contest Period in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received at 12:00:01 pm PT on or about the dates stated in the Entry Chart below by Strobe Promotions, Inc., the independent judging organization. 8. What are the Contest Prizes? (4) GRAND PRIZES (ONE PER CATEGORY): Grand Prize includes the following: a) $2,500 deposited into the winner's PayPal account; b) A 4-day, 3-night trip for the winner to the 2009 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV (November 4th - 7th, 2009), including round-trip air transportation from a major airport nearest to winner's home, hotel occupancy for 3 nights, tickets to the 2009 SEMA Show and tickets to a behind the scenes event/party; and c) Winner will be designated as the eBay Motors "Motors Master" to star in the first Vuvox DIY eBay Motors Installation Video. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of this prize is $1,600 each. Grand Prize winners must have or must create a PayPal Account (the "PayPal account") in order to receive access and use the $2,500. 9. What are the Sweepstakes Prizes? SIX (6) RANDOM DRAWING PRIZES (ONE PER WEEK): A $1,000 eBay Gift Certificate to spend on eBay Motors. All terms & conditions for eBay Gift Certificates apply. ARV: $1,000/ea. 10. How will I know if I won the Contest? Potential winners will be notified on or about September 23, 2009 by U.S. mail and/or overnight mail and/or email using the contact information provided at the time of entry. 11. How will I know if I won the Sweepstakes? Potential Weekly Drawing Winners will be selected in random drawings from among all eligible entries received.
